More about the event:
We need your help! Every year, we get together to update/fact check every resource listed in the 60+ page New Orleans Community Resource Guide for Resistance and Renewal. At the Call-A-Thon, you’ll use a script (and a lot of support from each other) to call various listings to verify their services. Hang out with us and take breaks to enjoy good vibes at The Imagination Farm – a place where artists, stewards of the land, and dreamers gather to practice mutual aid and cultivate their ideas for our future.
What you’ll get:
The satisfaction of knowing the guide is used and trusted by thousands of people across the Greater New Orleans area each year.
But also… we plan to provide an Imagine Water Works t-shirt and a printed copy of the very first Indigenous Gulf Online Zine to all who attend. Green thumb friends, we have seed packets and have also started some okra plants for you to take home if they sprout!
Snacks and water will be provided. Children are welcome, though childcare is not available. Seating is limited, please bring a blanket or folding chair if you have one.
* This event is street parking only. Carpool if you can!*
