This fund is closed. With your support, we raised $76,411.01 and were able to support individuals both in New Orleans and Southwest Louisiana through Hurricane Delta and Hurricane Laura.
The vast majority of funds ($56,540) were distributed directly back to individuals and organizations who live and work in Southwest Louisiana, which faced the greatest impacts from these storms.
The remaining funds were used on supplies to help the 13,000 people evacuated to and temporarily sheltering in New Orleans, transporting supplies, a rental truck, printing flyers and boosting social media ads to make sure evacuated individuals could find mutual aid groups in New Orleans and SWLA, and platform fees associated with fundraising and ATMs for the Emergency Cash Program.
